RTVW Widget for your Mac Dashboard

I had to look into creating a Mac Dashboard Widget for a project at work and, while I was searching for the easiest way to do it, I realized how easy it would be to make one for this blog. So, I took an hour this morning to do just that and I kinda love it. Mostly because I just love having my very own widget on my Dashboard. I’m so easy to please, eh? Now I’m sharing with all of you. The download link and installation instructions are below:

Download & Installation:

1. Download RTVW Feed Widget
2. Unzip widget archive.
3. Drag RTVW Feed.wdgt to your Widgets directory. (Hint: To find Widgets directory go to user/Library/ or use Spotlight to search for ‘widgets’.)
4. Open Dashboard and click on the “+” icon in the lower left hand corner.
5. Locate the RTVW Feed icon and drag it onto your Dashboard.
6. Congratulations, now you can keep up with Ramblings of a TV Whore via your Dashboard!

RTVW Widget for your Website or Blog

Thanks to Widgetbox, you can also have a RTVW widget for your website or blog. I’ll be honest, I can’t imagine any of you wanting one but here’s what it looks like if you do:

To get the widget for your site, click on the “Get Widget” button and select the type of site you’ll be putting the widget code into. Copy the code it gives you and drop it into your site in the desired location. Yep, it’s that simple! Note: You can also customize how the widget looks by clicking on the orange tool icon above.
