I didn’t even dress up and go knocking on doors but I still got the best treat ever tonight…
And, better yet, it was Eliza Dushku (aka Rae’s #1 gay crush) who lured him back. Oh, yeah, and Tim Minear will be involved as well. How’s that for a kick-ass show trifecta?!
It’s going to be called Dollhouse and I’m loving E!’s Kristin’s description of it. Right out of the gate it sounds like it has lots of possibilities for week to week episodes but with a core story to hold it all together. Who am I kidding… it’s Joss, of course it has that!!
I don’t even care that it’s Fox who is behind it all. They’ve burned me so many times but, if Joss is willing to work with them and liking the confidence they are showing in him, then I’m okay with getting excited about it. It’ll be so nice to have a Joss Whedon show back on my television and even nicer that it’ll be starring my girl Eliza.
ETA: Oh, and can I just say that Joss’ response to Kristin momentarily thinking he has already written all seven scripts has become my new favorite Joss quote:
“No, no—are you kidding? I didn’t spend that much time in the bathroom.”

I can not read the interview part yet because I am too tired to give it the attention it deserves but HOLY CRAP that is exciting news! Like Bladerunner meets Alias with JOSS WHEDON at the helm.
Revived, that’s how I feel.
Awesome.
(Cool pic of Joss and Eliza. Is it new?)

This is easily the best news since Buffy season 8! I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about how I’m not very attached to any of my shows anymore. Hearing this gives me TV hope. Joss, Eliza and Tim makes me very, very happy. Fox does not though. Not at all. And neither does this strike (not that I blame them for striking, I just don’t like to wait), so I won’t start holding my breath yet.
THANKS for posting this and the link!

Kell: Revived is a great word for this news! And, nope, not a new picture. It’s from an old Christmas party I believe. I should probably credit it but I’m not sure where I got it anymore. I’ve had it saved on my computer forever.
Oh and Ausiello has the news up too and he also talked to them but Kristin’s article did a better job of describing the show… well and her interview was a little better in my opinion if only because she shared a lot more of what she talked to Joss and Eliza about.

JO: I KNOW!!! (I actually sent you an email with the info first, which you may have seen by now, but then I realized this is the kind of TV news that can’t go by without me commenting here as well.)
Watching the VM S3 DVDs is what made me realize that, yes I love some of the new shows, but none of them mean as much to me. (I mean, they may eventually but none of them has grabbed ahold of me the same way as Joss’ shows did.)
