Resolution Time    Print Print

Happy New Year!Happy New Year, everybody! I can’t believe we’re already four days into 2008. Here’s hoping it’s a great year for all of us.

I don’t personally believe in the concept of New Year’s resolutions but that’s definitely not the norm. Almost everyone I know is busy coming up with and trying to stick to their resolutions for the new year. Since I have none of my own to share with you, I thought it might be kind of fun to think about our TV favorites and what resolutions are making their way on to their lists.

For instance, I think Chuck Bartowski has probably resolved to learn some form of self-defense. Relying on Sarah to save his ass repeatedly (no matter how great she looks doing it) surely can’t be good for a guy’s ego!

Then there’s Barney Stinson who wouldn’t waste his time on any self-improvement resolutions but might want to find a way to rob Marshall of the rest of his slaps.

How about Dwight Schrute? Is it too easy to guess that all he’s got on his list is to win Angela back? Well, that and to knock Jim out of the #2 position at Dundler Mifflin Scranton.

Now that Charlie Crews has found the person who committed the crime that got him sent to prison 12 years ago, I suspect his resolution revolves around finding out who set him up to take the fall.

Sam Oliver is probably hoping he can find a way to slack under the Devil’s watchful eye but I think he should be resolving to find a way to get in touch with God. Who better to fight the ultimate evil?

Speaking of touching, I’ll bet you anything The Piemaker who is determined to find a way to… errr, ahem, ok maybe some resolutions that should remain private.

Well, those weren’t very fun or creative. I’m sure y’all can do better than me. What are some of your favorite characters’ resolutions this year?

  1. John Locke (”Lost”) has resolved NOT to get off the island. ;)

Michael Scofield will be involved in a health initiative for the prison: to lose weight. As in his own weight…when he escapes. ;p

  2. Oooh, good one with Locke! (Except they’re stuck in a time loop so they don’t really get NY resolutions. ;) )

Haha, good incentive for Michael to lose “weight”!
