(Randy Jackson Presents) America’s Best Dance Crew premiere’s this Thursday at 10PM on MTV. If you watch, you may just see Spads in the audience. That’s because she’s attending the taping of the premiere tomorrow night and will get the chance to talk with Randy Jackson, Mario Lopez, the judges (JC Chasez, Shane Sparks, & Lil’ Mama), and the dance crews. For a show I hadn’t heard about until last week, I’m actually excited to read her report.
On America’s Best Dance Crew, 8 dance crews (narrowed down from the original 12 in last week’s LIVE casting special) will be showing off their sick dance skills and competing to be named America’s Best Dance Crew. They will have to recreate the moves seen in the hottest music videos, use their fancy footwork to reenact their favorite movie scenes and pay homage to the classic grooves (and moves) of the past. However, with so many competing, there are sure to be showdowns, shouting matches, and dramatic impromptu dance-offs! (Ok, I copied that last bit from MTV’s official description… but it already happened in the casting special so I believe it.)
I watched the casting special online and I’m totally digging it. I mean, it’s like heaven for the girl who owns every one of those cheesy teen flick dance movies out there. I know nothing of professional dance moves (sorry, Pixi!) but I love me some street dancing and these crews are crazy amazing. Actually, “fucking insane” was how I described them after watching the videos of each crew and it fits. Check out the audition of my favorite crew, Kaba Modern, below:
My next favorite audition dance came from the Jabbawockeez crew.
See… insane.
Anyway, you should watch so that you can be bouncing in your chair like me. Plus you get to help decide which crews stay or go by voting on your favorites. The two weakest links will battle each week, showing the judges their best moves for the chance to advance to the next round. I think it’ll be a fun show.

Love the dance shows — Dance life, SYTYCD, etc — and really looking forward to this one. However, can Mario Lopez get any worse as a host!? The cheese! The horror!

So I watched some of the other clips Warner Brothers sent and a few on You Tube… I agree with you on the best, but I think I liked Fysh and Chicks more than Jabbawockeez. (Although Jabbawockeez has quite following on YT dating back two years.) And though I wasn’t so into their moves, the dudes in BreakSk8 are ON ROLLER SKATES. Pretty impressive shit. Brought me back to my childhood at the roller rink…
Now I am excited about tonight!

What the hell were the judges thinking kicking live in color off. I mean seriously they were probable the 2nd best crew if not the best crew out there. I mean they are really the only crew who goes out there and dances. Status Quo all they do is stunts. Not dancing. Jabawokeez walk around and do flares every where. Fysh n chicks are just horrible. And Breaksk8, do i really? So I declare that we bring back Live N color and from now on kick off the people who SUCK!! Maybe they should kick off J.C. Chasez he is like freakin simon cowell except for more of a dick!

i dont think live in color should have had gone home but i dont think that they were gonna be americas best dance crew in the end. i think it’ll be between Jabbawockeez & Kabba Modern…. although im rooting for the ” JABBAWOCKEEZ”. my two year old son also loves them and tries to copy their moves to the apologize performance and i think that if they can get a two year olds attention thats impressive !!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THE JABBAWOCKEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been voting for status quo since last thursdy it allowed me to vote like twice, now it states the line is down which is unfair the line still allows u to vote for jabba walkies. So Randy how is that gonna work when they will have lost almost a weeks worth of votes? I love both crews but they deserve a fair chance i say go another week and then vote , DONT DO A GEORGE BUSH ON THEM!!!!!
