First, can I just say how awesome it is that Sonny and Patrick will be working on the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia writing staff next season? Y’all know my love for It’s Always Sunny so I’m happy that I’ll get to enjoy their humor on it. Plus, hey, that news means I’m getting another season of it and that’s reason enough to celebrate right there!
Ok, let’s move on to some quick and dirty TV thoughts:
- Can I get a big HELL YEAH! for the CW picking up Supernatural for a fourth season? I never doubted it’d happen (it only made good business sense, ratings are only one piece of the renewal puzzle especially on the CW) but lack of doubt doesn’t always mean I’m right. I like it when I’m right.
- New Amsterdam starts tonight at 9PM on FOX. I really liked what I saw of this show last summer so I’m actually looking forward to it. Plus, I interviewed Nikolaj Coster-Waldau for Seat42f last week and I liked what he had to say about what the show’s about and where it seems to be going with the storylines.
- It’s nice to see all the love for Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles today. Pretty much every blog I’ve read has dire warnings for FOX should they dare cancel the show. I think the TV Addict is probably right on target with his five reasons they won’t. Plus, let’s face it, they aired all of the episodes they have. That’s more than they usually do for their cancelled shows so I have high hopes. Let’s hope I’m right this time.
- On the flip side of that, I watched Unhitched on Sunday night and, yowsers, did that suck?! I like Craig Bierko and Rashida Jones so I wanted to like it but I didn’t laugh once. But maybe this is just another instance where I lack the right kind of sense of humor? It’ll be interesting to see how long it survives.
- I have lots to say about America’s Best Dance Crew and I really need to get in the habit of writing down those thoughts after I watch the episode because, by the time I get around to commenting, my thoughts are out of date! I know there are lots of people upset by the judges’ decision last week but I don’t know that I disagree with it. Or, rather, I disagree about the two teams in the bottom two but those were chosen by America so I can’t fault the judges for having to pick between them. The one thing I really love about this show is that the bottom two crews ALWAYS do a great job. I don’t know if they get a warning before the show or if they can kinda tell they didn’t do great the week before or if being in the bottom just gives them the right kind of energy but those two bottom teams kick ass every single week. They always make the decision a hard one and I love it. My two favorites remain JabbaWockeeZ and Kaba Modern with the former taking over as my top pick. Mostly because Kaba Modern doesn’t do as well of a job at taking on the challenges or giving us a new routine each week. Even when I don’t love the JabbaWockeeZ’s routine, I appreciate their innovative take on that week’s challenge. Plus, without them we wouldn’t have had the great mocking from Status Quo this past week. Best moment of the night!
I know I had some more quick things to talk about and some PR info to give out but I can’t seem to find that list so this list will have to do for now.
