I don’t need to wait all day to be sure this is my quote of the day.
As I told Just Jody in an email this morning, I’m keeping with my pattern of unpopular fandom opinions. Unlike what seems like everyone else in the world, I did not think Lost was all that great last week. And this morning I see the majority of fans think last night’s episode was a dud while it was one of my favorites of the season. Much like how I really enjoyed the Kate episode everyone else hated. What’s up with that?
Anyway, even if you didn’t love last night’s episode, there’s no denying Juliet had one of the best pull-quotes this show ever. Elizabeth Mitchell’s delivery was pitch perfect. And, I know, it’s probably cheating to use such a new quote but it really is the quote that I keep chuckling about every few minutes.
“It’s very stressful being an Other, Jack.”
- Juliet, Lost: 4×06 – “The Other Woman”

I agree that’s a classic quote! I LOL’d at it twice.
A couple other good ones from last night’s Lost:
“Are you going to tell me, or are we going to just keep walking through the jungle like it doesn’t matter?” (Jack to Kate)
“You mean instead of his wife?” (Ben to Juliet)
Oh! I almost forgot the 2nd best quote of the night!
“This didn’t have a number on it did it?”
Ben asking Locke about the rabbit.
The rabbit one was probably my favorite since it’s got great continuity and an in joke that we get but the other character does. Juliet’s joke just stands out to me beause it’s such a great meta quote that holds up even if you only know the basics about the show.
I love the Jack quote you listed for the same reason. Because isn’t that what we’ve seen the characters do over and over again? Ha!
I also loved Ben’s line at the end of the episode but that was all about the delivery more so than the quote itself.
I love every LOST episode. And the rabbit remark was my favorite quote.
Hee – well I’m one of those opposite opinion people but I didn’t think it was quite as boring as the Kate episode. It had moments and yes, most of them were connected with Elizabeth Mitchell who was terrific as you say. And I loved getting the back story for Goodwin.
But Harper was a horrible wifey person and possible killer ghostie (or whatever) and that’s my screen name. How dare they! (hee!)
