My TV is almost old enough to vote, I don't have cable, I also squirm when people are in embarrassing situations! Sometime I have to change the channel. Even if it's a scripted "embarrassing moment" I can't take it. I'm not a big fan of commercials (unless they're really clever like the Mac vs. PC ones), but sometimes when I'm watching a show that I've taped, I'll get so caught up that I forget I can fast forward. You know how everyone loves the first couple of episodes of American Idol? Even if they don't watch the show? I can't bear to watch. I just cringe and feel so embarrassed on behalf of the person being embarrassed, even when they're fictional. There's a KFC commercial out now that I cannot stand for this--you know, the one where the kid refers to his friend's mom by her first name and they all laugh at him? I have Serenity in HD now, how can you resist?? I'm the same way with TV on the computer. I'll watch it if I have to to get caught up on something, but I really don't like it. Too hard to see/hear.
