Ugly Betty
1/2
Betty was back and looking buff! Oh, wait, that was Daniel. Apparently the strike was a convenient excuse to bulk up. Anyway, Betty and Henry’s weekend getaway birthday celebration were nixed when Henry’s Baby Mama arrived in town. Swallowing her disappointment, Betty rallied with plans for a romantic evening spent at the best restaurant in town and fireworks in the park. Only she ended up spending it with Gio who was only too happy to step in when Henry was once again thwarted by Charley. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina’s sister Renee was still in town and proving she’s definitely a Slater by getting Mark to spill Willie’s pregnancy plans and moving into Daniel’s apartment. The real question is, just what secrets is she hiding? Also, Claire went forward with her plans for a new magazine and brought in several of her former inmates to staff it. I’m sure that’ll end well. – Rae
Supernatural ![]()
I loved it, so most of fandom hated it. So nice to settle back into our regular routine! The boys ran into a couple of old friends while checking out a house where people tend to disappear when visiting during a Leap Year. Calling themselves the Ghostfacers, the former Hellhounds were intent on filming their new reality series in the house. Too bad one lonely ghost had other plans for them. In the end, all but one of them make it out safe and sound… poor Corbett. Of course, there was no way Sam and Dean were actually going to let the Ghostfacers share their footage with anyone else. One handy magnet later and I’m sure Harry and Ed were back to cussing out “those assholes from Texas!” – R
The Office ![]()
Still on his quest to replace Jan, Michael and Dwight headed to New York City to hang out with Ryan. Only this Ryan was a little too happy to see them. As Michael continues to strike out and Dwight surprisingly doesn’t, we find out that Ryan’s dug himself into a bit of an addiction hole. Meanwhile, back at the office, Jim’s plan to have everyone stay late in order to avoid coming in on Saturday backfires. We’ll assume Hank locked the gate with cars inside for the same reason that he takes his sweet time coming to open the gate but, the longer they have to wait, the more the gang turns on Jim and Pam culminating in one excruciatingly embarrassing moment for Toby as he caresses Pam’s knee in full view of everyone. Since he’s unable to mute his TV like I can, Toby announces that he’s moving to Costa Rica and jumps the fence just to get out of the situation. I feel pain, Toby, I really do. In the end, Hank’s left cursing at an empty lot when the others get the cleaning crew to open the gate for them. – R
Grey’s Anatomy ![]()
A surgical competition between the residents brings back the competitive rivalry we grew to love in seasons past. Lexi and George are roommates with a really crappy pad, but Lexi goes on a stealing rampage through the hospital, and turns their little hovel into a home. Derek and Rose are dating, she’s in love - he’s in a holding pattern. Much to Christina’s dismay and confusion, Callie and Hahn are new BFF’s. Meredith seeks the help of the hospital therapist in an attempt to work out her dark and twisty issues. After winning the surgical competition, she gets a foot in the McDreamy door by presenting Derek with a new way to save lives. – Just Jody
30 Rock ![]()
GE CEO Don Geiss has diabetes and hasn’t been feeling well, ramping up the competition between Jack and Devon Banks for the position of new CEO. Liz blackmails Devon with a faux make-out session in front of a security camera, prompting Jack to name her as his successor as the head of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming. At first Liz objects, but changes her mind after learning the salary. “Suck it monkeys I’m going corporate!” Unfortunately, Liz inadvertently causes Geiss to slip into a diabetic coma, giving Devon an opening to have his future wife take over as successor to her father while he’s in the coma, leaving poor Jack dumbstruck. Meanwhile, Tracy learns his kids are embarrassed by him and sets out on a mission to create a porn video game in an attempt to redeem himself in their eyes. – JJ
Lost ![]()
The doctor from the freighter (Ray) washes up on the beach with his throat slit, but according to the people on the boat, he’s still there alive and well? The doctor on the beach (Jack) seems to have come down with “the sickness” and is acting a little off. Over in New Otherton, Hurley lets us know that “Australia is the key to the whole game” during an intense game of Risk, which is interrupted by a phone call repeating the phrase “Code 14J”. This sends Ben into a state of panic because “They’re coming”. In a shocking personality twist, Sawyer runs off to save Claire before “they” (a group of men from the freighter dressed in military garb) arrive. When Ben refuses to give himself up, the freighter men murder Alex right in front of him! Ben insists this is “changing the rules” and he takes off through his secret room to release the Smoke Monster, which takes care of the commandos in short order. After the bad men are gone, Ben attempts to take the group to Jacob’s cabin for further instructions, but Sawyer has had enough and he escorts everyone other than Locke, Ben and Hurley to back to the beach. IN THE FUTURE: Ben appears out of nowhere in the middle of the desert, and seems confused as to what date, and year it is. He somehow makes his way to Iraq, where he finds Sayid at his wife’s funeral. After being spotted by Sayid, Ben tells him that he’s there to find the man that murdered Nadia. Ben tracks down the supposed killer, telling him he has a message for Widmore, at which point Sayid shows up and shoots the man several times in the back. Sayid decides that he is now interested in joining Ben’s war, Ben says he’ll be in touch. And we now know why Sayid would ever work for Ben. – JJ
