Undercover Poll: Spies Like Them    Print Print

I’ve got spies on the brain!

But before I get to them, let’s talk about last week’s season finale polls. Though a few of you are understandably no fans of lame cliffhangers (15%), having your expectations undeservedly built up (15%), too many commercials (13%), or characters acting stupidly (11%); the majority of us (43%) agree that the worst thing about season finales is the long summer drought without our favorite shows. We’ll just have to lean on each other to help us get through these next few months!

As for which finale did the best job of leaving people on the edge of their seats? Lost wins out with 34% of the votes but Supernatural wasn’t far behind with 27%. The only two other shows to come ven close were House (13%) and The Office (10%). Of course, the bad news here… of those four, Lost is also the show we’ll have to wait the longest for! Curses!

Ok, moving on… to the spies. I have to admit, this one is going to be very hard for me. There was a time when there’d be no doubt which of these TV spies was my favorite but things have changed. Not only with the new entry of Chuck Bartowski to my life but also because I’ve now met Jeffrey Donovan in person and I can’t deny I’m a little smitten. What’s a girl to do?!

While I ponder who to pick, why don’t you tell us who your favorite TV spy is and why? Is it a purely superficial thing (you can’t deny Sydney Bristow looks hot kicking ass!) or is it their skills you prefer?

  1. Just to mess with you I voted for Jim Rockford. OK, I know technically he’s not a “spy” but a private investigator. (Hey, technically Chuck’s not a spy, either!) But The Rockford Files was such a great show–and really quite authentic. Beside, c’mon–James Garner and that awesome theme song? I have it on my iPod (the theme song, not James Garner…)

  2. Haha! The funny thing is that I did have some classic spies on the list at first but it was getting too long so I decided to go with some of the more recent selections instead.

Also, you’re right.. Rockford is a PI not a spy! I figure Chuck counts because, even though he didn’t WANT the gig, he’s definitely doing spy work. I really should have made it Sarah instead.

(If you did have James Garner on your iPod, I’d want to borrow it… ;) )
