The second season of Burn Notice gets started this Thursday, July 10th, at 10/9c on USA. I got an early look at the first two episodes of the season and fans will not be disappointed.
Ok, that may be stretching things a bit. Fans might be a little disappointed at the conclusion of last season’s cliffhanger but, by the end of the first fifteen minutes, you’ll be over it and back on board the Michael Westen train. Because this show is back with the great characters, exciting action scenes, and humor it consistently delivered last season. Plus, it’s definitely got an extra dollop of drama as well. There are at least two scenes that left me rather choked up in this first episode… what’s that about?!
You know, it’s funny how this works. I didn’t realize just how much I missed the show until I sat down to watch these two episodes. I’ve been jonesing for good TV and this show satisified my cravings. Plus, Tricia Helfer as Michael’s new foil, Carla! She’s frakking awesome and I’m loving her character already. I know I shouldn’t but I can’t help it they just play so well off each other. Michael’s foils were always kind of invisible before but I like the extra tension that’s been added by actually giving him someone we can see him interacting with on screen. I’m pretty confident you guys are going to like it too.
Also, I should say I’ve watched these episodes several times now and they definitely hold up on multiple viewings. Greg was skeptical when I told him but it’s true. I’ve always been able to watch Burn Notice episodes several times and that hasn’t changed with this new season.
So, you guys are gonna watch, right? Thursday, July 10th, @ 10/9c on USA!
In the meantime, here’s a couple of pretty photos plus a video sneak peek:
