Not TV related but if you’ve been thinking that you should try getting a bag of IKEA’s swedish meatballs to make at home but haven’t done it yet? DO IT. They were sooooo good and made a nice little dinner when paired with some noodles and veggies. Although, I will say that it’s the sauce – which you can also buy the mix for at IKEA – that makes the dish. Now, on to some TV related stuff…
- Get Burned Tonight: Hey, guess what?? The second season of Burn Notice starts tonight at 10/9c on USA. Look for my favorite interview from my set visit later in the day.
- Sunny Music Video: Sonny Lee linked to a new It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia music video yesterday and I. CAN. NOT. STOP. WATCHING. I think it’s just because it’s been so long since I’ve had new Sunny material to enjoy. Another reason to be grateful that September is only 2 months away. Although, I’m more excited that in just two weeks I’ll be attending the Sunny panel at Comic-Con, on Sunday at 10:30AM. Tell me that’s not going to be a blast?!
- Fandom Rocks: No, really, they do! Especially the Supernatural fandom! They’re currently on their Fandom Rocks Campaign #3 and this time the proceeds will be going to WriteGirl and Invisible Children. They’re going to hold an auction on August 1st and they are looking for anything you might be able to contribute. Sounds like they’ve got some good things so far and I know they’re working on getting even more so be sure to check it out!
- Come on Closer: The Closer screening party I went to on Tuesday was lots of fun. Met nice people (shout out to Michael!), laughed when our MC for the night made fun of the technical difficulties they had with the DVD player, watched the awesome season premiere, enjoyed listening to Tony Denison talk about his career, and walked away with a few goodies. Not a bad night. We had a little Q&A with Tony and I’ll be sharing that with you along with some pictures and my non-spoilery review of the season premiere tomorrow.
- Comment on That! I’m so behind on this week’s TV and you want to know why? Because I’ve been watching my new Psych DVDs every night. The gag reel was lots of fun and I seriously love all of the deleted scenes. That’s new for me because a lot of times I watch deleted scenes on DVD sets and think, “Yeah, I can see why that didn’t make the cut…” Not so on this show! It’s just more funny to enjoy. Love it. But, what really surprised me, was how much I’m loving watching the episodes with the commentary on. As much as I like DVD commentaries, they are usually the very last thing I watch/listen to… and sometimes it’ll be months before I get there. This is because, by the time I get a DVD set, I’m ready to re-watch the actual episodes and listening to a commentary is not like watching an episode. Mostly just because you can’t control which thing you listen to… it’ll be great when DVDs get more sophisticated and you can have two different audio tracks that you can control separately. That way I could turn down the comments on a section of the episode that I actually want to listen to myself and turn them back up after. Ok, I think you get the point. That’s why I was surprised when I decided to put the commentaries on for that first episode (it helps that I had just re-watched a whole slew of season two episodes before going to Vancouver). And, seriously, the joking they do in the commentaries was totally worth it. At first there was so much joking going on between the group of commenters that I wasn’t sure if we were going to get any actual information out it but, as we got further in, I realized I was wrong. They’re comfortable with each other so they do have their moments of in-jokes but they’ve actually got exactly the kind of fun tidbits that fans like to hear from how it was to film a scene to what got cut out from earlier drafts to the jokes happening on set at the time. Plus, it’s just so great to hear how much they love the show. Not because they say it (though they do) but there are times when they all get caught up in watching and laughing at what’s happening in the episode that it’s just obvious they’re fans of the show just like the rest of us. This really should be in a DVD review but I just wanted to share because I’ve really been enjoying the DVD set. It was well worth the $36.99 I paid at Target.
Alright, we’re at an odd number and I’ve cut into my lunchtime enough. It’s time to go have some leftover meatballs and watch a little Sunny on Hulu. What’re you doing for lunch today?

Ahhhhhhhh Love the IASiP video!! I’ve been overdosing on that show on Hulu. Too bad we have to wait so long for some new ones.
Thanks for the link.
Me too! So glad you liked it, m’dear.
Are there letters abut Fandom Rocks to be given at CC again this year, Rae?
I’m glad to see IC getting some support. I think between FR and one other place, IC should be well taken care of for a while.
Not sure, Roz. I let Dana know I’d be there but there’s enough people involved now that it’s possible they’ll actually have a rep there too.
