As some of you know, I was supposed to interview Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko while at Comic Con this year. Alas, it wasn’t to be. As bummed as I was about not getting to talk to them, it actually worked out in my favor because I had multiple places to be at that time and no way to do them all. I was almost more annoyed that I missed the panel. Avatar players were out and about all weekend, though, and I did get to watch several “battles” from my place in line for Ballroom 20. That was a fun way to while away the time. The Appa to the right was my favorite costume. Every time I saw her I wanted to go up and give Appa a hug. Apparently that’s my reaction to lifesize (human) stuffed animals. Heh.

No doubt you hardcore fans were probably scouring the web that weekend and have already read all of the various Avatar accounts from SDCC ‘08. For the rest of us, here’s some of the various places you can read about the panel and see pictures/video from the weekend:
