A million years ago, or so it seems, I did a Top 5 meme and Roz requested my Top 5 Veronica Mars moments. And I swear to you that I’ve been meaning to get to her request ever since… have, in fact, had a Top VM Moments folder sitting on my desktop since that day. But fellow Veronica fans will understand my plight, it’s nearly impossible to pick just five moments!!! However, the time has come to clean off my desktop so I forced myself to make the list and since I was going to share video clips with you anyway, I figured I might as well do something a little different and make it a vlog entry. (Remind me never to record myself again!)
Upfront, I’m already unhappy with my top five moments and want to completely redo my list. But I’m not! I’m sticking with it. Mostly because it’s done and I’m too lazy to do it again. So… enjoy?
ETA: Oh, forgot! Sorry the intro to the second moment is cut up. I originally included all of the Logan/Gia interactions (at the dance) plus the entire Logan/Veronica dance in that clip but my video ended up being too long for YouTube. I was too lazy to re-record so I just cut out those clips and then had to edit my intro to it to remove my mention of that part.

I love that not even you have a S3 moment included in your Top5
Awww … I love the Lilly Clip you chose, it’s def. my favorite memory of her.
And Gia is priceless. THE END. I kinda miss Gia.

Heh. You got me there. I had a couple of contenders from S3 but they really weren’t as strong as the S1 or S2 stuff. And it was weird how many I did have from S2. Well, I shouldn’t say that… I’ve always felt that even though I didn’t have a lot of favorite episodes in S2, I loved a lot of moments in every episode that season.
I really wanted to include all of the Logan/Gia clips at the dance from that episode but my video was too long for YouTube when I did. Sad day. Because Gia’s “HI!” is awesome.

Aw. That makes me miss you. Great job with the vid.
I think one of my fave VM moments is when Keith tells V that he got the paternity test back and is indeed her real father. Gets me every time.
Oh, and when V shows up at Wallace’s in tears… I think ater finding out that Kane might be her dad.
I also really like the hand holding moment with L&V as well as the V&W moment at the end of S2.

Aw, thanks, Jo!
I do like that Keith and V moment. I actually have several with them. I could seriously do a separate list for the father/daughter moments and BFF moments.
And, ha! I actually had that moment between V and Wallace in my folder. Along with when they’re sitting on the bed and he doesn’t know what to say and she tells him that, “You don’t have to say anything. That’s kind of the good part.” Love it! Sigh. I should have included those.

*sniff* That’s my favorite Veronica and Wallace moment, too.
It’s been such a long time since I’ve watched it and I can’t remember the facts, but there’s a scene where she confronts her mom (maybe in the last ep of season 1) that I think is really good. Hm, that really tells you alot, huh.
Of course, I also like the V/L kiss outside Camelot in Weapons of Class Destruction. Just watched that one the other day.
Really any scene where she outsmarts someone or is a smartass, I love.
Lastly, nothing to do with your question, but I have to say that there is an 8th grade girl who is totally your clone. She has the same glasses and everything. I’m serious.

I think it would be cool to break it down into Top 5 BFF moments, Top 5 Veronica-Keith moments, etc. Does that make me too invested in this show?
And I loved the video blog! You should totally do it again. It was like watching a friend, you’re so personable.
Some of my favorite moments…
When Wallace realizes that Veronica is the one who’s been leaving spirit boxes with snickerdoodles in his locker.
When Logan tells Veronica about their “epic” relationship at the anti-prom.
When Deputy Leo arrives at the 80s dance! I love Deputy Leo.
When Veronica tapes the fortune from Duncan on her mirror. I can’t remember the exact wording — true love stories never end or true love stories don’t have endings.
When Sheriff Lamb monologues to Meg’s dad, and you realize there’s a LOT more than meets the eye there.

Aww, you! Aww, VM!

You can curse me all you want, Rae, but I like seeing your list. Fitting I suppose.
I’d have to give more thought to my top five moments than I can do right now, but I’ll try to think and let you know later.

Watching that moment when Veronica watches Wallace empty out his locker made me think about how important the silent exchanges were in this show.
So here are the other four moments that would end up on my Top Five Dialogue-less VM Moments list. (Today anyway.)
I love the shot of Veronica on the back of Weevil’s bike as they approach the scene of the bus crash. From cool and hot to devastating heartbreak. It’s so Veronica.
Or what about the many knowing looks between Logan and Veronica? My favorite comes at the beginning of the thaw, when Logan is working on Lilly’s tribute video in “The Wrath of Con.” It’s a quick and subtle moment, but it’s where IT all started.
When Veronica breaks down in her car after visiting Abel Koontz in “Like a Virgin.” I didn’t start watching the show until “Return of the Kane” so this is when I joined Team Veronica with a vengeance. Years later, I still can’t even think about it without welling up.
And finally, even though I am an enlightened and self-sufficient woman who doesn’t need a man to fight her battles, years of Princess stories and love songs have biased me toward the man who sticks up for his woman. Nothing embodies that more than the shot of Logan entering the jail cell where Mercer and Moe are after he got himself arrested by beating the crap out of a cop car. Classic.
Oh, and the final look between Logan and Veronica.
And the shot of Duncan and Baby Lilly being driven off into the sunset with Vinnie Van Lowe.
And the…….

Just like you were too lazy to fix your video, I’m too lazy to read the comments so I don’t know if this was talked about before but if you raise the camera higher and angle it forward it should help the chin thing. Pinky swear.
I can’t pick a top 5. You’re better than I am.
I do so love the Veronica and Wallace one, though.

Loved the top 5 vlog. I wouldn’t be able to do it, but definitely the Logan & Veronica kiss outside of the hotel with that camera swirling around and that song, I would so put that there. Good list. Made me miss the show.

Great picks! I love the Veronica/Wallace moment you chose. They all reminded me how good Veronica Mars really is. Also love the video format of the post – you look and sound great on camera, so I hope this isn’t the last video post from you!
