I know, I know. At this point, I’ve declared my love for so many TV writers that it’s not really a surprise when I add more to the list. And, to be honest, I already knew how much I liked Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the creators and showrunners of How I Met Your Mother. However, the Variety Season Pass blog just posted a Q&A with the two of them and people! My love. It abounds!

Ok, ok, their comedy writers so naturally their answers would be funny but how much do we adore the parenthetical side notes and their “reveals” about the mother? Too much. Honestly, this answer to a question about when we’d finally meet the mother had me covering my mouth because I was laughing so loudly:

“The reason we pre-shot that scene with kids had more to do with the fact that that young actor and actress are aging, and less to do with revealing who the Mom is … I can’t say how or when we’ll reveal that, I’m sorry! But I will give you three hints: The Mother is definitely someone we’ve already met on the show in Season 3, the actress’s initials are “B.S.” and in real life she is the most famous pop star in the world. To avoid spoilers, I really can’t go any further than that, I’m sorry.”

Come on, you know it’s hilarious. Anyway, if you’re a How I Met Your Mother fan, you should definitely go read the Q&A with Carter and Craig. I’m confident you’ll enjoy it and there’s no fear of spoilers either, I promise.
