I’m a huge fan of the relationship between Micahel and Fiona. I missed a lot of season two so I need to catch up quick before season three starts!

I love the interaction between Michael and Fiona definitely. And Michael’s mom is an interesting character.

One of the easiest things in the world is to comment on what I love about Burn Notice! Should I just list the top ten? 1. The cast – they are a great ensemble and interact together so smoothly and well; not typical, but immensely entertaining. 2. The writing – clever, fun, intelligent…did I say, fun? 3. Jeffrey Donovan 4. Bruce Campbell 5. The stories – never boring, always entertaining. 6. Ok, to borrow from USA, “The characters” as in, the characters are such fun “characters.” But even more than the individuals, it’s the chemistry and interaction between them all. It’s just great. 7. The GREAT guest stars – I loved Michael Shanks, and the way the character was so over the top, but not too much, and bringing him back to tie up the season…oh ya, it was terrific! 8. The pure fun the show provides, and the feeling of fun it sends to the audience. 9. Great summer viewing! 10. Ok, location is nice, too :-)

While I love the interaction between Michael and Fiona, I also love Sam and Michael’s mom. And I LOVE that they aren’t ONLY comedic relief, but shown to be smart and resourceful, as well. Mike is cool, but it would be a bit too much if he had to do everything by himself. Surrounding him with smart and capable friends/family is a great bonus to the show.

Note from Rae: Fixed the typo, Wings!

I would love this prize. First bc I am a HUGE fan of the show. I love Jeffrey Donovan, especially when he speaks with an Irish accent! Second, bc I have been trying to get my mother and sister into this show since the second season, but they won’t jump in without seeing the beginning. If I had the first 2 seasons – I could finally get them caught up and watching with me. This show is great. It really went from a fun watch to a don’t miss obsession for me last season. Really interested to see how the addition of Moon Bloodgood, and the new status quo affect the series this season. So glad I went with my gut instinct to watch everything Bruce Campbell does when this show started. I remember I was on the fence about watching it when it started – but went with bc of my love for Bruce. No regrets here! :)

Love the show! Michael’s disfunctional family adds to the fun of his very capable friends Fi and Sam!

Ready for round 3! Bring it on!

I’m oddly proud that BN is filmed in Miami. I enjoy trying to figure out the locations featured. I even got to watch them set up a car crash scene outside my gym once. JD’s teeth glistened in the distance. lol

Comment from Rae: HAHA, Debbie! His teeth are ridiculously white so I believe it! ;)

Love Burn Notice. There’s not a ton of shows that can sneak in the laughs in the middle of action sequences and well…Jeffrey Donovan. Nothing wrong with that man :)

I love this show….mainly bc I’m a hopeless romantic and I love the Michael/Fi push pull relationship. She is definately a match for him! :) I’d love to win this bc I’ve been talking this up to my friends and if I had some seasons on DVD, I could finally get them to watch! Thanks for the giveaway. Hope I win!

Ooooh! I love the witty dialogue and the intricate plotting. Also just watching poor Michael deal with the insanity around him.

    Joanna says:

I L-O-V-E Burn Notice! Although there are many, many things to love about Burn Notice, my favorite thing about the show is the friendships. The way that Fi is always there for Michael, and Michael always takes care of her, even if he doesn’t agree with her business deals. Also, Sam will put down whatever he’s doing (normally a beer) to help Michael. And Michael often helps Sam out with an “easy” job (which is never as easy as it seems). I like that they are always there for each other. Sam and Fi can even get along sometimes for Michael’s sake.

I can’t wait until it premieres!

Burn Notice is everything that has been missing from TV since the early 80′s. It has a cast of fun, compelling characters – Michael, Fiona, and Sam keep you engaged. Michael’s mother is reminicent of Jim Rockford’s Dad in the ROCKFORD FILES and adds some tension and grounding to the other three relationships. The episodes are one off adventures held together with the ongoing thread of an interesting backstory. There are a cast of recurring characters that add a sense of danger and adventure and pop up at the most inopportune times. It is compelling television! Not only do I watch it but I rewatch it on Hulu. It is 100% entertaining and I’m able to watch it with my son which is a bonus! When Michael jumped from the chopper in last seasons finale my son was stunned and immediately asked when the new season was going to air. “We have to watch it Dad!” I agree, absolute must see TV!

    Melissa says:

I love everything about this show: the cleverness, the hotness of Michael, the sexy Fiona, and the badassness of Sam. Let’s not forget Madeline — one of the greatest TV moms ever, IMHO.

    Harper47 says:

Burn Notice is everything I love in a TV show. A charming, charismatic, snarky lead surrounding by quirky, fully fleshed characters who mesh together so perfectly. Plus a headstrong, capable female lead. Couple that with romantic roadblocks, kickass spy stories, great guest stars and Miami in it’s full, sunblown, decadent, expensive glory and this show is must see tv for me. I love it. I love everything about it.

Burn Notice is one of my faves! Its smart a full of action!

What makes this series work is the quirkiness of all the actors;and the realism of the spy business.

There is so much to love about this show including the characters and the relationships between them as well as the great storylines, but what I’m most impressed with is the continuously amazing guest stars they get on this show. They’re simply phenomenal and play a huge part in making Burn Notice even better. The best thing about the show, however, is that I get an opportunity to sit down with my entire family to watch it: it seems like the only thing we can agree on these days.

Awesome giveaway! I love the humor and espionage of the show. I was a huge Macgyver fan back in the day and this show reminds me of a modern day version of that. I need to win because my wife hates TV but love TV on DVD, hopefully I can suck her in with the first two seasons.

    Thank you TVWhore!
