I’m afraid to say much as I don’t want to spoil any of the next two episodes for you. What I will say is that Chuck fans are gonna love these episodes. This show is on top of its game right now. No sophomore slump for them!! I always like it when they bring back people from Chuck’s past so I’ve liked the addition of Jill so far. I mean, I’m more in the Ellie and Morgan camp when it comes to her but I also like seeing Chuck happy.

Anyway, don’t forget… all-new episode of Chuck tonight at 8PM on NBC. You don’t want to miss it!

This all started in an email when Rae challenged me to:
“Name just ONE Buffy scene that you love above all others.” As challenges go, this is a pretty tough one, especially when you consider my immense love for Buffy, and all thing Whedon. But never one to back down from a challenge, I of course accepted.

After much careful consideration I have chosen:

Season 3, episode 20 – The Prom
After all her sacrifices and losses, Buffy finally receives thanks and recognition from her peers. The fact that it came at a time when she was so down, and really didn’t expect it, made the moment that much more poignant. Seeing the Scoobies - and especially Giles - looking so proud of my girl, causes me to weep like a big, grinning baby every single time I watch. And let me tell you, that’s a GREAT many times. And just to prove to you how very much this scene gets me, I even got all weepy here at work while reading it.

Jonathan: This is actually a new category. First time ever. I guess there were a lot of write-in ballots, and, um, the prom committee asked me to read this:

“We’re not good friends. Most of us never found the time to get to know you, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t noticed you. We don’t talk about it much, but it’s no secret that Sunnydale High isn’t really like other high schools. A lot of weird stuff happens here.”

(Crowd: Zombies! Hyena people! Snyder!)

“But, whenever there was a problem or something creepy happened, you seemed to show up and stop it. Most of the people here have been saved by you, or helped by you at one time or another. We’re proud to say that the Class of ‘99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history. And we know at least part of that is because of you. So the senior class, offers its thanks, and gives you, uh, this.”

(He produces a glittering, mini-umbrella with a small plaque attached to it.)

It’s from all of us, and it has written here, “Buffy Summers, Class Protector.”

(Among much applause and cheering, Buffy walks to the stage and takes her award.)
